Zoila Guerra De Grajales

Zoila Grajales (abuela), 90, resident of Manhattan,
N.Y., passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2016,
at 6:03 p.m. in Walla Walla, surrounded by her daughter’s
family, while connected to her sons and oldest
granddaughter through media format.
Zoila Grajales was a longtime resident of New York,
where she lived since leaving her country of origin,
Panamá, after retiring in 1980.
She is survived by her children, Ezequías Enit Grajales
of New York, Tevni Ezequías Grajales of Michigan
and Alba Luz Grajales of Washington; two siblings,
Lucinio and Emelina (Panamá); 13 grandchildren,
Katerina Grajales (New York), Kamenov Grajales
(Florida), Ricky Reyes (Washington), Ruth Esther
Grajales-Artiga (Ilinois), Iliana Grajales (New York),
Liliana Grajales-Avila (Illinois), Alba Biagi (Washington),
Linda Jackson (Washington), Karine Grajales
(New York), Kristine Guerra (New York), Josue
Reyes (Washington), Luz Winter (Washington), and
Tevni Grajales, Jr. (Mexico); 20 great-grandchildren,
Kathryn, Jonathan, Robert, Illon, Justin, Lucas,
Alexandra (New York), Ethan and Ariana (Illinois),
Lindsey, Becca, Keanu, Nattilie, Kat, Gabby, Daniel,
Ella, Isaac, Ethan, and Ava (Washington). She was
preceded in death by her husband, Ezequías Grajales.
Memorial service will be on Thursday, May 26, at
8:30 a.m. at Eastgate Church, 380 Tausick Way, Walla
Walla, with Pastor Tevni E. Grajales officiating.
A private family interment will follow at 10:30 a.m.
at Mt. Hope Cemetery in College Place.
