William Joseph Miller, Sr.

William Joseph Miller Sr., 81 yrs. old, born October 20, 1937 in Chicago Illinois passed away April 19, 2019 in Walla Walla Washington.  He reunited with the love of his life and mother of his three children after 43 years of being apart.

William retired after 23 years in the Coast Guard as a master chief.  Then he worked another 10 years for the U.S. Government in Lima, Peru.  He was a member of the VFW, Masons, Shriners and earned several awards in his lifetime.

William was a: “Good Guy – Patriot – Hard Ass – Country – Coastie – “I did it my way” – Stubborn German – Hard Headed (Like Hard Candy, Hard on the outside and soft/chewy on the inside) – Loyal Defender – Gentle Soul

He is survived by the love of his live, Kay Brace: three children, William Joseph Miller Jr., Steven Joseph Miller and Toni Kaye Cantu; two brothers, Ronald Charles Miller and Kenneth Robert Miller; four grand c hildren, Ryan Edward Miller-Cantu, Rachel Nicole Miller, Steven James Miller Jr. and Matthew Cole Cantu and two great-grand children, Alaina Jane Miller and Landon Cole Cantu.

He is preceded by Father, Antone Miller and Mother, Hazel (Boldt) Miller.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to:  Shriners Hospital or National Foundation for Cancer Research through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, Washington.
