William (Hank) Henry Houlett

William (Hank) Houlett, age 78, passed away on July 20, 2023.

Hank served 20 years in the military, enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1962 and retiring from the Navy in 1989 with a couple of breaks in service. Overall, he served 18 years in the Marines and another two years in the Navy. During that time, he earned the following awards: Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious unit commendation, sea service deployment ribbon, Meritorious unit citation, Silver Star, and Purple Heart.

Hank married Barbara Sellars on November 19, 1974, and was preceded in death by her in 2016.

After retirement from the military, Hank worked in the law enforcement field near and around Athens, TX, and additionally spent time in WA state and Pendleton, OR.

Hank is survived by his children, Kimberly Harris (Robert) of Sugar Land, Texas, Gwynne Clifton of Pendleton, OR, and son Wes Houlett (Chrissy) of Pendleton, OR; grandchildren, Avery, Lauren, Liam, (2) Samuels, Jacob, Shane; and his great-grandchild, Murphy.

A memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of the Herring Funeral Home, 315 W Alder St, Walla Walla, WA.
