Wanda Darlene Gales

Wanda D. Nettles Gales, 72 of Waitsburg, passed away on August 29, 2017 at home.

Born February 24, 1945 in Little Kansas, Oklahoma to Jesse and Lucille Cleaver Nettles. The family moved and settled in Waitsburg in 1948. Wanda graduated from Waitsburg in 1963. She married Gerald Gales December 11, 1966. Devoted mother of three, to Rhonda, Brenda, Greg ''Bub".

Her compassion to care for people lead her to become and RN, she worked for 30 years then retired to become a business owner in Waitsburg. Wanda was known for her wicked sense of humor, she loved to laugh. Her door was always open to those in need.

Survived by sister Dolores Nettles, husband Gerald Gales, children Rhonda Gales, Brenda (Darin) Groom, and Greg "Bub" (Jody) Gales. Grandchildren Tyler Gales, Alexis, Austin, Addison Groom and Owen Yost. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Loretta Hunt, Donald, Wayne, Charles, James Nettles and Margret Picton.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10AM at the Waitsburg Cemetery, with Reverend Joe Rhymes officiating; a Celebration of Life will follow at the Lions Club.
