Our beloved son, Tyler Dangerfield, (Ty) passed away on December 30, 2016 and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ty was born on March 19, 1973 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri to Thomas Dangerfield and Vicki Kropf (Harding) while his Father was active military. He was mainly raised in Magna, Utah where he made many friends. When he was 18 he decided to move to Washington State to live with his Uncle Dave Bennett and that is where he gained the love of horse racing and became a very successful Jockey. During his first years he met and married Christa Blake (Parker), later divorced. He went on to meet his love, Cindy Lively (Cutlip) and they have been together since. Ty loved Cindy and her two daughters, Ashley and Britney very much.
Ty had a great appreciation and tremendous enthusiasm of the great outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and most importantly, horse racing. He ran many a weekend and won a great deal of his races. He was very well known in the Northwest Bush leagues and made so many friends who will surely miss him and his larger than life personality! Not to mention red, white and blue hair during the 4th of July races.
When Ty retired from racing he earned his commercial Truck Driving diploma from Walla Walla Community College and worked in that field, the latest being for the City of Walla Walla.
Ty is survived by father,Tom, Mother Vicki and Step-Father Wayne, "Grampa", Bill Kropf, Brother, Brett Dangerfield, Sisters Amy Fowler and Ashly Margritz, his "second mother" his Aunt Linda Yeates (Craig Poselli) and soul brothers, Chris and Mike Yeates. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family who loved him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds VIP room at 3pm on Thursday January 5th. In lieu of flowers please donate to Tyler Thomas Dangerfield Memorial fund, through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.
