Sgt. Tony “Brian” Dale Neissl, 47 years old, passed away July 30, 2025. He was a Christian and loved God. He was born on June 2, 1978, to Ronald and Patricia Neissl in Fort Smith, AR.
He was with the 1186th MP Unit in Milton Freewater, OR, and had other specialties as well. He was in the Army for 18 years until he got injured in Iraq.
Since he was a little boy, all he wanted to be was a soldier. He grew up and, at 17, talked his mother into signing him up for the Army.
He was involved in helping people affected by tornadoes in Fort Smith, AR, and people affected by Katrina, then volunteered to fight for his country in Iraq. He was a 50-cal gunner in Iraq. He was always a soldier at heart and tried to help anyone he could. He had a huge heart and fed any stray animal that came around. He loved all God’s creatures. He was his mom’s love and protector.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Dignman; mom, Patricia Neissl; sister, Brandi; niece, Rain; Nephew, Zen Neissl and wife Miracle; fiancé, Christie Brown, who took care of him through his sickness; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his dad, Ron Neissl.
He was a good Christian man, a great soldier, and a great son.
