Tiny Marlene Cunnington, 87, of Walla Walla, WA, passed away peacefully with her daughter, by her side, on February 5, 2023.
Tiny was born to Ralph and Ella (Flather) Graham, Sr, in Walla Walla. She lived most of her life in the Walla Walla Valley. In 1954 she married Arthur “Carrol” Stovall, and Terri was born. In 1960 she married Jim Turner, and Connie and James “Jim” “Bub” were born. In 1996 she married Larry Cunnington, where she gained three bonus daughters and their families.
Tiny was a member of the VFW Post 992. She was also a big supporter of the WW Elks #287 and AmVets Post 1111 with Larry. Tiny enjoyed painting, her flower gardens, shopping thrift stores, and yard sales; she was a collector of many! Throughout the years, Tiny worked at Southgate Drug, Roy’s Chuckwagon, Booknook, and lastly, Goodwill, where she met many friends.
As mom’s health declined, she moved to Washington Odd Fellows, where she resided for the last 2 ½ years. During this time, she gained another family with her roommate Helen Perrin and her children. The two families have a special relationship not often seen in nursing homes! We owe a huge thank you to Della Rock and Judy Bazan for watching over mom when we couldn’t be there!
Tiny is survived by her children: Terri Harding, granddaughter Nicole Hills and three great-grands; Connie (Tom) Fellows, granddaughters Stephanie (Eric) Davenport and four great-grands, and Kaitlynn (Jesse) Fellows and three great-grands; grandson Justin (Sarah) Beck and seven great-grands. Granddaughters Jennifer Turner and one great-grand and Jessica Davis and one great-grand. Bonus daughters, Teri (Mark) Kramer, granddaughters Shelley (Mark) Hall and four great-grands; Tashanna (Jason) Nollmeyer and four great-grands; and grandson Cory (Sara) Kramer and two great-grands; Lori (Jeff) Elam; and Marci (Jim) Lux and two great-grands. Sister, Florence (Paul) Klingbeil and numerous nieces and nephews. Tiny is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; son Jim “Bub” Turner; her parents; brothers Ralph Graham, Jr. and Cliff Graham and sister, Violet.
We want to thank the staff at Odd Fellows East Care for the amazing care and love they gave to mom and Helen; you became our family as well. A special thank you to the staff in the comfort wing who gave mom amazing care during her last days and for taking care of us as well. We will not forget the angels who cared for her.
