Timothy Kelly Bannister was born to Norman Bannister and JoAnn (Ellison) Bannister on December 11, 1956. Tim was fifth in line of eight children. He passed away at his home from cancer on August 28, 2022, with his two sisters, Lauri and Mary, by his side.
Tim went to schools in Walla Walla and then lived most of his life in San Fransisco, CA. He met a very dear friend, Bob, who took him sailing anytime. Friends and family were always welcome, and that is where he met the love of his life, Ellen Lockritz. Tim was so heartbroken by her passing in 2019. Tim lived in Sacramento and earned his associate's degree in land surveying; he then moved back to Walla Walla to help with his mother.
Tim had many friends whom he kept in touch with. They would plan lunch once a month which Tim enjoyed. Tim fought hard to make it to two concerts at the Wine Country Amphitheater, ZZ Top and Bonnie Raitt. He had a good time. Tim was a loving brother and friend and will be deeply missed.
Tim is survived by his sisters, Trudy Reed, Cindy Zimmerli, Lauri Richardson, and Mary Pearson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and JoAnn Bannister; wife, Ellen (Lockritz) Bannister; brothers, Johnny Bannister and Scotty Bannister; sister, Cheryl Baumgardner; niece, Kimmy Bannister; and nephew, Kevin Bowers.
A special thanks to Hospice.
