Tim James Reardon

January 11, 1958 — November 13, 2023

Walla Walla

Tim Reardon, 65, joined his Father in heaven on November 13, 2023, at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by family, leaving cancer behind. Born January 11, 1958, out of Fairfield, WA to Ken and Shirley Reardon as their second son of four brothers. The family moved to Walla Walla in August 1966, where he spent his grade school years. He graduated from Wa-Hi in the class of 1976. After high school, he moved to Spokane where he met the love of his life, Shelley, at The Rock of Ages Church and they were married on June 30, 1979. He graduated from Gonzaga University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Their first girl joined the young couple in Spokane, and three more children, two daughters and son, were added when the family moved to Kalispell, MT where they lived for ten years. In 1996, Tim and his family returned to his hometown of Walla Walla. He spent the remainder of his life here, working at Key Technology for many years, and most recently, at Nelson Irrigation in International Sales.

In the summers of his youth, you would find Tim exploring Yellowstone with his parents and brothers. An avid outdoorsman, he was a hunter, fisher, hiker, and overall adventurer, passing his skills down to his children as soon as they could hold a fishing rod. You could always hear Tim cheering on his kids at various sporting events in the Walla Walla Valley and beyond. As often as he could, he enjoyed flying his Bellanca Super Viking airplane, traveling with his wife, domestically and internationally, scuba diving, and doing the next remodel on the house.

Above all, Tim was a fierce believer in the word and works of God. He attended Valley Church, and the church was his love. He spent countless hours in the service of God and his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. His only desire was to please God and love his people. He was someone to lean on in almost every way, from his knowledge of the word of God, to fixing       almost every problem a church building could have.

He is survived by wife, Shelley; children, Elizabeth (Joe) Fiumara, Laura Reardon, Victoria Reardon, and Logan Reardon; grandkids, Joey and Lily Fiumara; parents, Ken and Shirley Reardon; brothers, Dave (Deanna), Keith (Travis), and Scott (Brenda); and best friends, Fred and Cindy Palmer.

He was laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in College Place, overlooking Martin Airfield.

There will be a celebration of Tim’s life at Valley Church (1625 East Alder St.) on Monday November 27th at 4:30 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Church through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla, WA 99362. In addition, friends and family are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.herringgroseclose.com.
