Terry Lee Kinman, 62, passed away the morning of October 18, 2012 in hometown of Walla Walla.
Terry is survived by many family members to include his father, Berton Kinman; brother, Berton Jr.; sister, Virginia Sawyer; children, Shannon Kinman Salverda, Jennifer Kinman Cor; Jason Kinman and their families. Terry had four grandchildren with a fifth to arrive in a few weeks.
Terry loved his kids and grandchildren, golfing and cars. He loved fixing up old cars and attending car shows with his brother and friends. Terry had a passion for all types of music. He was a DJ in San Francisco in the late 60s. He was an athlete in his youth and enjoyed coaching his son and other young athletes.
Terry was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010. Terry made a career in the field of transportation. He worked as the Director of Transportation for Wenatchee Public School for many years as well as Stanwood & Finley. Most recently, he drove the activities van for Wheatland Village and his connections to the residents there brought him great joy.
The Memorial Funeral Service was held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Wheatland Village. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seattle Children’s Hospital-Cancer Division through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
