Terry was born in Portland, and at the age of 2, moved with his parents to Walla Walla, where he lived the rest of his life. He was a graduate of Walla Walla High School in 1978.
Terry was known to most people in town as the always smiling guy on the yellow bike. He really enjoyed volunteering for various activities, especially the chain team for high school football games and Whitman College basketball games.
He is survived by brother, Larry Rencken living in Hollis, NH, and many relatives in the Walla Walla Valley.
