Susie Beth Rose

Susie B. Rose, age 94, of College Place, Washington, passed away at Brookdale Assisted Living in Walla Walla on March 13, 2024

Susie, a woman of dedication and hard work, was born to Helen and Orville Rose in Gering, Nebraska, on August 21, 1929. They later moved to the Walla Walla area where she began her career as a telephone switchboard operator. Her commitment led her to work at the Corps Engineers in Walla Walla and Portland, Oregon. After her retirement from the Corps Engineers, she continued to serve her community, working for Long Term Care and Aging Care for a few years.

Susie enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, cooking, and especially enjoyed her little pet dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a baby boy, and three siblings.

Susie is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dan and Rebecca Martin; three grandchildren, Travis Martin, Shawn Martin, and Alison Maiden; fourteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
