Steven Clark Lloyd was born on Christmas day, December 25, 1954, and passed away at the age of 69 on May 21, 2023. He was born at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, to Zoe Zackary and W. A. “Bill” Lloyd. They were later divorced.

Bill married Rosemary Board on November 2, 1961. Both had children, and theirs became a “Yours, Mine and Ours” family. The families blended into one with a lifetime of great events and memories. They loved camping, hiking, boating, skiing, and ballooning.

Steve attended Garrison Jr. High and Wa-Hi, where he participated in wrestling and played drums in both school bands. He graduated from Wa-Hi in 1973 and continued his education at W.W.C.C. and W.S.U.

He lived most of his adult life working and retiring in Kent, WA. He moved back to Walla Walla in 2022, residing at Eagle Springs Memory Care. Shortly after, he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, and his last days were spent under Hospice Care.

One of Steve’s great joys included yearly trips to Bull Lake, MT, to listen to his Uncle Ron’s band. He never missed this extravaganza ~ his favorite event of the year. He was happiest when outside riding his bicycle on a hot summer day.

His father, Bill, passed away on May 11, 2014. Survivors include his mother, Rosemary Lloyd of Walla Walla; sisters, Melissa Lloyd of Beaverton, OR, Cyndra VanDonge of Walla Walla, and Jennifer Charlo of Clarkston, WA; half-sisters, Aimee Cyr of Duvall, WA, and Mandi Chapman of Canyon Country, CA. Steve also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles that he dearly loved. Family was extremely important to him.

In lieu of donations, think of Steve and do a good deed for someone in need or a friend or neighbor. After retirement, he spent time helping his senior neighbors, either working in their yards, taking them to appointments, or any help they needed. He was very caring and had a kind and loving heart.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
