Steve Allen Schaub

Steven Allen Schaub, 63, passed away on March 25, 2013 in Port Angeles, Washington.

Steve was born on September 21, 1950 in Walla Walla, Washington to George A. & Helen Palmer Schaub. He attended Washington Grade School, Garrison Jr. High and graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1969. Steve then attended the Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Washington studying fish biology.

Steve decided to stay in Port Angeles and spent his career working through the laborers union. He helped build hatcheries, bridges & roads. Steve worked for various companies and ended his career working for Lakeside Industries in Port Angeles.

Before & after retiring, Steve was an avid gardener. He also loved to hunt & fish all his life and spent a great deal of time crabbing, shrimping, dip netting smelt and digging clams on the beaches & waterways around Port Angeles.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, George A. Schaub and his sister-in-law, Carol L. Schaub. He is survived by his mother, Helen I. Schaub; a brother, Paul D. Schaub; 2 sisters, Sherry A. (Ralph) Nussbaum & Jenifer J. Schaub and several nieces & nephews.

The Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
