Sherron A. Turnbow

March 13, 1954 — December 31, 2015

Walla Walla

Sherry Ann Turnbow, 61, our beloved mother and friend, passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2015, with her family by her side.

Sherry was born, raised and spent all of her life in Walla Walla. She graduated from Walla Walla High
School in 1972, where she was very active in 4-H and Wagonettes. She attended Walla Walla Community College, where she graduated with a degree in nursing.

She was a hard working successful mother of two. Sherry spent her career as an RN at the VA Hospital for 27 years before retiring last January. She loved
animals, gardening, horseback riding and water skiing— in her younger days.

Sherry was a wonderful
mother who dedicated her life to her two daughters, and, more than anything, loved being Nana to her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Sherry is survived by her father, Thomas N. Turnbow; sister, Sandy Turnbow; daughter, Brooke Bartlett-Turnbow, and grandson Landon Thomas Turnbow all of Walla Walla; daughter, Courtney (Pete) Lillegard, and three grandchildren, Emily, Macy, Colt Thomas all of Hermiston; aunts, Donna Logan, Mona (Vern) Bradwell; uncle, Jack (Audrey) Short all of Chilliwack, B.C., Canada. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marie H. Turnbow (Short).

A small celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at the Walla Walla Elks Lodge, 351 E. Rose, 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Blue Mountain Humane Society.
