Sheron Kay Johnson passed away July 15, 2017 at home at the age of 56. Sheron was born October 3, 1960 in Richland, WA to Andrew and Myrna Melling.
After family moves to various places around the state, the Mellings settled in Walla Walla and Sheron graduated from Wa-Hi in 1979. She then attended Walla Walla Community College before starting a career at First Federal Savings and Loan. She moved to Touchet in 1985 where she dedicated her time to raising her three sons; Brandon Zaro, Jonathan Ingham, and Patrick Ingham. Sheron volunteered her time with Walla Walla County Fire District #6 and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also never missed a game or school function of her three sons.
In 2008, Sheron married Marty Johnson and they moved into their new home in Touchet. She was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, and friend. In addition to managing their various rental properties, Sheron spent her time making sure everyone in her life had everything they needed to thrive. Her greatest gifts were her optimistic outlook on life and her ability to always put a smile on your face, make you laugh and feel better about whatever ailed you.
Sheron is survived by her husband Marty; mother Myrna and her adopted father, Adrien, brother Andrew Jr. and sons; Brandon, Jonathan, and Patrick. She is also survived by her aunt, Myrna Steele and her two daughters, and by step-grandson Braden Dewey.
