Sharon Renae McGee was born March 15, 1956, in Ontario, OR, to Kenneth and Charlotte Romjue. She passed away on September 27, 2022, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
When Sharon was a little girl, she sold the most carnival tickets at school. Then, when she joined Campfire and Girl Scouts, she also had the top candy and cookies sells in Walla Walla. In addition, she enjoyed spending time with her cousins as a child.
She was a hard-working single mother of three. She raised her kids while working full-time as a waitress, which she was really good at. Sharon loved Going to the fair every year and entering flowers along with volunteering. She also enjoyed watching the grandkids play sports. In addition, she loved gardening and going on camping trips in the summer with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Miranda McGee-Niemeier of Milton Freewater and Carrie Cazier of Walla Walla; son, Trevor (Carrol) McGee of Walla Walla; sisters, Teri (Franklin) Sannar of College Place and Donna Williams of Walla Walla; grandchildren, Kadin McGee, Kaylee McGee, Rylie Cummins, Chance Savage, Nolan McGee, and Dalton McGee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Charlotte Romjue; brother, David Sams; husband, Charles Thomas McGee; and grandmother, Myrtle Sams.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 4:00 PM, at the College Place Village Seventh-day Adventist Church, 715 SE 12th St, College Place, WA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary Regional Cancer Center or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla, WA 99362.
