Santos Garcia Jr.

Santos Garcia of Walla Walla passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of December 8th, at the age of 63. Anyone who knew Santos will always remember his friendly smile and helping spirit. Santos was known by many in the community as a sweet man who always wanted to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Santos was born in Ranger, Texas on March 2nd, 1954. He traveled his way to Walla Walla, WA, where he met his soon to be wife, Maria Ocanaz. Santos and Maria were married on October 22, 1994. Married for 23 years at the time of his death, Santos and Maria shared a long life together with many adventures that will always be remembered. Santos was a jack of all trades who spent time working in many areas of construction and maintenance. He would share the stories of his projects and accomplishments and lend a hand wherever needed. Santos enjoyed Tejano music and loved to share dances with his wife Maria. He was admired for his rhythm and natural dance ability by many. Santos loved spending time and spoiling his niece and nephews, while sharing a special humor that will not easily be forgotten. Santos could always put a smile on your face without even trying with his story telling and sharing of his life experiences. Santos enjoyed seeing others happy; he was the first one to show up and the last to leave, while always asking how he could help or do more. His giving and loving spirit will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him and his sweet heart.

The memory of Santos will be forever in our hearts and know that he will watch over us, until we meet again in heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10 AM at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, with a reception to follow.
