Sandra Helen Moore

Sandra Helen Moore was born on November 23, 1944, in Phoenix, AZ, to Zano and Helen Clay.  She passed away on June 28, 2022, at her home in Walla Walla.

Sandra worked for the Arizona Highway Patrol.  She met Arwin Moore in 1992, and they were married in 1993.  Together they lived on a 36-foot cabin cruiser on Lake Union, motoring various areas of the Puget Sound for 3 1/2 years.  They decided to travel, so they purchased a travel trailer and visited 48 states and Canada.  After traveling the country, they embarked on three cruises, once to the Caribbeans, once to the Panama Canal, and once to Alaska.  If that wasn't enough in 1998, they set off for a 30-day backpacking adventure in Europe.  On her 62nd birthday, she spent the day at the Phoenix National Race Way averaging 100 plus miles an hour driving a Richard Petty Stock Car, doing ten laps on the track.

In 2006 she had one of the best days of her life, finding out she was going to be a grandmother.  Sandra enjoyed playing bingo at the VFW Post 992, fishing at Bennington Lake, being with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 30 years, Arwin Moore, of Walla Walla; sons, Matthew Patchett and Scott  (Lisa) Patchett of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Gregory and David Patchett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeno and Helen Clay; her brother, Jerry Clay.

At her request, no services will be held.
