Sally Jo Phipps

On February 16, 2019, Sally Jo Phipps of Washington Odd Fellows Home passed away at age 85.

Sally was born March 13, 1933, in Walla Walla to Howard and Mildred Wilson. Graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1951. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. In mid-life Sally enjoyed a career in nursing and retired as a Register Nurse from St. Marys Medical Center in 1998. Sally’s faith sustained her through the tragedies and hardships she faced in life.

Sally is survived by her precious children, Mark Summers, Michael Summers, Elizabeth Phipps, John Phipps, and Paul Phipps; a sister, Suellen Baehr; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Wilson.

A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father Matthew Nicks, celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
