Sally Rosenbaum, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, was called home to her heavenly Father on January 8, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born in Forks, WA, on August 19, 1934.
Sally is leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.
Sally Ann was raised in Dixie, Washington, where she attended local schools before graduating from Walla Walla High School in 1952.
While working wheat harvest, she met Don Rosenbaum at the Dixie Nazarene Church in the summer of 1953. While attending NNC, Don would hitchhike from Nampa, ID, to Dixie, WA, to see her. They were married in 1954 and together built a beautiful life of 65 years filled with love and laughter.
Sally’s greatest joy came from her family. In 1955, she welcomed her firstborn, Rex Leon, followed by her son, Max Rosenbaum, in 1958. The family was completed with the arrival of their daughter, Sonja Lorraine, in 1964. Sally poured her heart into nurturing her children, creating a warm and loving home that was always filled with delicious cooking and baking, which she loved to share with friends and family.
Throughout her life, Sally was a devoted caregiver, lovingly tending to her parents, Thelma and Lacey Cole, during their later years.
Sally’s heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren, Ryan Rosenbaum, Ashley Rosenbaum Trudo, Beau Rosenbaum, James Torres, and Tara Torres Ball. She was a constant source of support and encouragement, and her love for each of them was boundless.
Sally had a deep and unwavering love for Jesus, which she sought to share with family and friends. She inspired those around her to embrace that same love. Sally will be remembered as a loving, nurturing, and precious mother and grandmother.
Sally Cole-Rosenbaum is preceded in death by her son, Max; her husband, Don Rosenbaum; and sister, Connie Cole-Gwinn. Survived by her brother, Roger Cole; her son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Joan Rosenbaum; her daughter, Sonja Rosenbaum; her five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews who were all touched by her love.
A special thank you goes out to the Pleasant Valley home care staff in Lewiston, Idaho, for their compassionate care for Sally in her last couple of years.
