Ruby Elzena May Miller

Ruby was born on December 25, 1943, in Oswego, KS, to George Washington Irwin and Waneta May Curnutte. She passed away peacefully on September 24, 2023, at the age of 79, in College Place, WA.

Ruby was raised by her Grandparents, Mabel Elzena (Rhoten) Holladay and Clearance Holladay. She met Verlon at the age of 14 and married him on September 17, 1960. They lived in France, where Verlon was stationed in the Airforce, and then settled in Walla Walla, WA. Ruby had a cleaning business for ten years and then became active in volunteer work. Ruby found her true passion for volunteering at the V.A. with the D.A.V.A. for 31 years, helping American Veterans in Walla Walla.

Ruby is survived by her husband, Verlon; Sons, Clifford and Lannie; and adopted son, Steven.

It was Ruby's desire to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date.
