Rose Paul passed away on June 22, 2013 in College Place, Washngton. She was born February 3, 1913 in Weston, Oregon. Rose was the youngest of five children and the only girl. At two years of age, Rose and her family moved to Tacoma, WA. She graduated from Lincoln High School, and a few years later they moved to Walla Walla. Rose was a member of The United Brethren Church.
She met her future husband, William Paul, at church as he was singing in the choir. They were married on September 7, 1930. Rose retired from Whitman College after 25 years working in food service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking. In her spare time, she would cook for the Lions Club and the Jay Cee’s.
Rose is survived by her son, Bill Paul and his wife, Lonna of Walla Walla; 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edith Barker, husband, William Paul; daughter, Wilma Jean Prior; and her grandson, Brian Prior.
The Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens, College Place, WA. Memorial donations may be to the Blue Mountain Humane Society thru the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
