Rose Marie Mann Bloomberg, 81, passed away unexpectedly
at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Rose was born to James Ray and Reva Rose (Arquette)
Mann, Nov. 9, 1932, in Port Townsend, Wash.,
and was a member of the Confederated Tribes and
Bands of the Yakima Indian Nation. Rose attended
schools in Toppenish, Wash., and graduated from
Toppenish High School in 1949.
Rose met and married Robert Harry Bloomberg in
August of 1951. The family moved to Walla Walla in
1959, when Bob was transferred. While the children
were growing up she was a stay-at-home mom and
homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading
and any and all kinds of puzzles. Her grandchildren,
great-children and those she sort of adopted brought
great joy.
At Rose’s request there will be no services. There
will be a private interment Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at
Mountain View Cemetery in the Lamar Garden area.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Onie
and Lisa Bloomberg; daughter and son-in-law, Anna
and Mike Harding; three grandchildren, Blair Harding,
Blake Harding and Brian Bloomberg; three
great-grandchildren, Jaci Harding, Natalee Harding
and Gunner Harding, all of Walla Walla; sister, Jeri
(Glenn) Piper of Medford, Ore.; and several nieces
and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Bob, and brother, Ernie Mann.
A special thank you to the paramedics and EMT’s of
District 4, Providence St. Mary Medical Center ER
and ICU staff.
