Ronald William Brand passed away at his home in College Place, Washington.

He is survived by his wife Ruby, his step-mother Aileen Brand of Laguna Woods, CA, his sisters, Linda Dieninger of Lake Havasu, AZ and Kathy Brand of Yreka, CA and his brother, Steven Brand of San Diego, CA; his children, Michael Brand of Thousand Oaks, CA, Marie Conrad of Newbury Park, CA, and Linda Martin of Laughlin, NV; his step-children, Don Vincent and Kevin Vincent both of Newbury Park, CA, Shannon Millard of San Francisco, CA, and Sean Millard of Tallahassee, FL.; his numerous grandchildren and great-children as well as nieces and nephews, cousins (and their children).

Ron was born in Santa Monica on May 14, 1936, son of Stanley and Mary Jayne (Rudesill) Brand. An American patriot, he served for over 10 years in the U.S. Army Reserve. As owner of a machine shop (servicing primarily the aeronautical industry), he moved his business from Canoga Park to Simi Valley 1996 and retired in 2009. He had lived in Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange Counties, CA, before moving to the state of Washington.

He loved Mustangs and had rebuilt a number of vehicles himself over the years, two of which he raced. Among his many interests were the Mustang Club of San Fernando Valley of California and fishing with his sons, grandchildren and friends. He was particularly fond of gardening.

A celebration of his life will be held at Kevin Vincent’s home Sunday, October 23rd, from 2-5 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice or St. Mary Regional Cancer Center through Professional Funeral Director & Crematory, 2112 S. 2nd, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
