Robin Lundwall was born May 27, 1942, in Muskegon, Michigan to Albert and Marcella Lundwall. He attended school in Muskegon and Venice, Florida. Upon graduating from the University of Florida, Robin worked as a journalist in Florida daily newspapers and the United Press. From 1966 to 1969, he was a Navy destroyer officer in the Pacific Fleet and served in Vietnam. After discharge from the Navy in California, Robin worked in the Los Angeles area. At California State, L.A., he began a stellar career as an Educational Psychologist.
He married Mary Kay Dean and they welcomed two lovely daughters, Ann and Cathy. They later divorced. Robin later married Carol Schneller, his current wife of 30 years. He continued to direct the Wyoming Clinic in Laramie, a statewide referral clinic for disabled children that is associated with the university. After working in the timber cruising industry in Spokane, he moved to Walla Walla to work for Walla Walla Public Schools.
He enjoyed outdoor activities. Robin taught his girls good camping and fly-fishing skills. Family and friends will miss Robin’s colorful stories. We entrust him to the Lord’s care.
Robin was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Lundwall. He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Ann Lundwall and Cathy Chapin; and grandchildren, Nigel Riley and Lexi Chapin.
