Robert Lee Wachter

Robert Lee “Bob” Wachter was born Aug. 5, 1949, to Walter and Bernice Wachter. While growing up, Bob moved around a lot and lived in many places, including some foreign countries, while his father was in the Air Force.

After graduating from high school, Robert also joined the Air Force and served in Vietnam. After moving to the Walla Walla area about 10 years ago, Bob was employed by Sykes, until ill health caused him to leave. As his health permitted, Bob loved to work in yards and gardens, and he loved sharing the fruits of his labor in his beautiful flower arrangements. Bob had a loving and generous heart, and he will be missed by his many family members and friends.

Survivors include his two children, Lorelie and Shawn Wachter; three brothers, Richard (Julia), Bruce (Judy) and Larry Wachter; one sister, Shelia Lindenstein; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the Stateline Seventh day Adventist Church, with Pastor Mike Lambert officiating.
