Robert Jason Mercado Jr. passed away April 21, 2015, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center at the age of 54. He was born Feb. 8, 1961, in Walla Walla to Cheryl Ann Mercado and Robert Jason Mercado Sr.
Robert graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1980. He spent several years working as a truck driver. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing at Little Goose Dam. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Cheryl and Alden Hutchins; his son, Robert Jason Mercado III; sister, Tanya Mercado; brother, Darin Mercado; granddaughter, Isabella. Preceding him in death were his father; and son, Colton James Mercado.
Memorial services will be held at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 2 p.m. A suggestion for contributions in his memory is St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
