Richard McCallum
Nov. 10, 1951 — June 8, 2013
Richard (Dick) passed on a beautiful June morning at
Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
Born to Lucille and Grady (Tex) McCallum, he was
the youngest of five brothers. Living in the Walla Walla
Valley his whole life, attending grade school and junior
high school. He graduated from high school in Shelton,
Wash.
Dick worked for the Union Pacific Railroad until an
auto accident left him paralyzed in 1980. Dick loved
playing cards, fishing, hunting, going on road trips and
going to Wildhorse, which he did often with his best
friends Bob and Sandy Fulmer.
Dick is survived by his four brothers, Harold ( Janice)
Ellenberger, Jack (Kay) Ellenberger, Ernie Long
and Don (Charlotte) Long; many nieces and nephews;
cousins; aunts and uncles; and his dog, Ace. He was
preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service will be Friday, June 14, 2013, at 10
a.m. at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens on Myra
