Richard Dean Hays

Richard Dean Hays passed away April 17, 2016 at Park Manor Nursing Home at the age of 68.
Rick was born in Pasco, WA on June 12, 1947 and moved to Dixie and finally to Walla Walla. He graduated from Wa-Hi where he played football and was on the wrestling team.
Rick worked at Payless and Wilbur-Ellis for many years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting and the company of friends at the Blue Mountain Tavern he also loved spending time with his dogs Rosco and later, Kisses.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Katsel and is survived by his three brothers, Harold Hays of Walla Walla, Larry Hays of Fullerton, CA and Donald Hays of Foley Missouri as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.
