Richard was born in Bangor, Maine. His family moved in 1934 to Cashmere, WA, where his father was a pastor at a local church. His mother was also active in the church. His parents both played the piano, and that is where Richard found his passion: playing the piano. He wrote many songs for us and read music. He had a gift for entertaining and singing. He turned his gift of music into a lifelong pleasure.
Richard served in the Army and moved to Walla Walla in 1948.
He was an electrical contractor for many years and owned Robison electric in Milton-Freewater, OR. After retiring, he moved back to Walla Walla.
Richard is survived by his wife, Nancy Robison; his four daughters, Rhonda Robison-Gehmen, Shannon Robison-Richardson, Linda Robison, and Laura Robison-Skogan; he also leaves behind nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
His favorite pastime was golfing with his buddies, and he loved the outdoors. Richard always had a book close by, constantly reading.
Richard loved his life and all of his family and friends. He strived for peace on this earth; he spoke of it often. He deeply cared for all of mankind. Through all of his hardships, he never gave up. He lived 94 years. He was a rebel for life. We are so fortunate to have been a part of him and his life. We know we will all meet again in Heaven. Richard lives in our hearts now forever.
There will be no services at his request.
