Ricardo Juarez Castillo

April 22, 1948 — April 22, 2023

Walla Walla

Ricardo Juarez Castillo, 75 years old, was born to Santos and Consuelo Castillo on April 22, 1948, in Cotulla, Texas. Ricardo passed away in Kennewick, Washington April 22, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jovana; son, Jose Luis Castillo Sr.; parents, Santos and Consuelo Castillo; brothers, Jesse, Santana, and Robert; sisters, Oralia and Oretencia.

Ricardo was born in Cotulla, Texas, and raised in Walla Walla, Washington. He resided in Walla Walla for the past few years but lived in many states throughout his life. Ricardo was a hard worker and had many trades. He loved working at junk yards, going to swap meets, and always trying to make a good deal. Ricardo was resourceful at making a dollar out of fifteen cents. His favorite pastime was going to yard sales, where he loved to chat with others. Even if it was just to make them laugh and save a dollar, he was also known for making friends wherever he went. Whether it was the grocery store, restaurants, farms, or just in the community, you could bet wherever he went; he was flirting with ladies or trying to hustle the next guy. He had a sense of humor, and you knew that if you were around him, he was going to try some "Castillo Prank" on you. He also loved his animals. When it came to his four-legged animals, you had better not mess with them. His dogs and goats were his life. He had the biggest love for his grandkids as well. Vanessa, Stephen, Julian, Chunk, Lexi, Jake, Olivia, Jasmine, Jose Luis Jr, Mercedez, and Eli.

Ricardo is survived by his son, Richard Castillo Jr; daughters, Sylvia Hendricks (Dan) and Veronica Chavez (Florentino); brother, Rojelio "Roy" Castillo (Debbie); 11 grandkids; 16 great-grandkids; and numerous nieces and nephews.
