Ray D. Mings of Prescott, Washington, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 12, 2025, with his family surrounding him.
Ray was born in Buhl, Idaho. As a young boy he and his family traveled to Dayton, Washington where he grew up with his four brothers and one sister.
He served in the US Navy from 1952-1956. In 1953 he returned home to marry the love of his life Jackie Ruble.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, he also very much enjoyed playing pool. He was very proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved watching them all play in their sporting events!
In his younger years he worked as a well-driller in the Walla Walla Valley, he was very proud of what he did. He brought water to many people!
He is survived by his children Catherine (Jr) Nikki, Yolanda, Teresa (Jeff) Donald, Travis, Jackie, Deana (Mark) Shane, Andrew James, Andrew Ray, Samantha, Tyler, Jody (Rob) Robby, Holly; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Jackie Mings and daughter, Colleen Mings; his parents, Henry and Ruth Mings; brothers, Cecil, Glen, Melvin and Ronnie Mings; sister, Janet Pomeroy Swingler.
At his request there will not be a celebration of life.
