Paul Leroy Presler

Paul was born in Bremerton, WA, to Elmer and Esther Presler on October 29, 1962. He attended and graduated from Waitsburg High School in 1982. During his school years, Paul participated in Boy Scouts, hoping to obtain the high level of Eagle Scout. Sadly, he could not obtain his goal due to age rule changes.

After high school, Paul mainly worked for area farmers. He began his career at Schwerin Farms & Concave near Walla Walla, later leaving to work as a mechanic/maintenance worker at both IBP and Boise Cascade in Wallula, WA. He most recently worked for Noble Farms, Waitsburg, WA, during the spring & fall fieldwork season and then drove his brother’s combine during the summer wheat harvest for Stonecipher Farms, Waitsburg, WA.

Paul was very mechanically inclined, so he worked on many vehicles for family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.

Many years ago, Paul found his way into horse racing and raced his horses on tracks throughout Washington, Oregon, Montana, California, and Canada, making many friends along the way.

In 2005 Paul met his life partner, Reiien McLendon, who brought her three children, Kristopher McLendon, Samantha McLendon, and Rusty Evans, into Paul’s life.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Presler, both sets of grandparents, and brother-in-law, David Keller.

He is survived by his mother, Esther Presler, Waitsburg, WA; brothers, Terry(Dawn) Presler, Charbonneau Park, WA, Tim(Carrie) Presler, Walla Walla, WA, and Jeff(Danielle)Presler, Waitsburg, WA; sister, Jule Keller, Waitsburg WA; and many nieces and nephews.

Paul’s loss is felt by many far and wide. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Paul’s life will be planned by the family for later in the spring.
