Born July 26th, 1983 in Long Beach California to Harold Emick and Cindy Black. Raised in Walla Walla, Washington. He was preceded in death by both his mother and father. He is survived by his siblings Mike Williams of Walla Walla, Harold Eberhart of Spokane, Harold Emick of Spokane, Dawn Rietdorf of Belfry, Montan,a and Carrie Johnson of Walla Walla; Stepfather Kenny Headley, many nieces and nephews and Daisey his dog. Merle Phillip mentor and friend. Paul was considered a brother by many including the Givens family and the Castillo family.
Paul was an exceptional soul, loved by many, and a constant guardian of his family and friends. Paul spent most of his adult life as an integral part of the Sanderfoot Wind Company, where he was able to travel the United States and build foundations for wind turbines. Paul’s contributions to his family and friends are endless in nature; his stories and legend will live on through the many people who were lucky enough to be a part of his life. Paul was very much the glue that held many friendships together. His timeless sense of humor and blanketed generosity has seen many a friend and family member through some of the hardest times. In life Paul gave everything he could to those he loved; in death we have a giant hole to fill, yet, his story and legend will live on through each and every one of our stories and memories.
Paul passed in San Antonio, Texas on July 3, 2019. He was with the love of his life, Ms. Kelli Crewse, enjoying some vacation time with each other. In his final days, Paul was not alone nor will he be alone in the pastures of heaven. Paul, your unique laugh and gigantic heart will fill our minds and soul as long as we continue to tell your story. A legend never dies and he will live on through us.
A Viewing and Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM at the Herring Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 9:00 AM at the Blue Mountain Community Church, 928 Sturm Ave., Walla Walla. Concluding Services and Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery.
