Patricia Ann Gehrett

Patricia A. Gehrett passed away peacefully on Feb. 5, 2018 at the Washington Oddfellows Home.

Patricia was born April 7, 1927 to Mildred and George Finnegan in Chicago Ill. The eldest of 2 girls, Pat moved with her mother and sister at a very young age to Walla Walla, following the accidental death of her father. She attended grade school in Illinois and graduated from Wa-Hi, class of 1945. Then attendance of college at W.S.C. resulted in a bachelors in Sociology in 1949.

In 1950 married the love of her life, Louis Gehrett, a marriage that would flourish for 65 years. In addition to a career of Homemaker, she additionally worked for the Decorator Center of Walla Walla.

Pat loved to golf and ski, and favorite card games included, Bridge and Poker.

Together they travelled all of Europe, when Lou was stationed in Frankfurt Germany for the Corps of Engineers. They spent years of Family vacations at Loon Lake, Cannon Beach, as well as winters at Myrtle Beach.

Pat was a member of the First Congregational Church, BPOE # 287 and Walla Walla Country Club.

She is survived by her Sons, Jay (Shari) and Jon (Chella), 6 granddaughters, Kristin Erikson (Ellis), Meghan Cavazos (Chris), Kaitlin Gehrett, Kindall Richard ( Tim),  Ashlyn Gehrett ( Matt), Hollis Gehrett (Johan), 6 great grandsons (Mason, Zander, Maverick, Eli, Emmet, Kellen) and 2 great granddaughters ( Addie and Edie)

She was preceded in death by her mother, sister (Marian Golden) and husband Lou

Graveside Services will be held February 23, 2018 at 10:00AM at the Mountain View Cemetery Garden Mausoleum with Reverend Nathaniel Mahlberg, officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Washington Oddfellows, WW Hospice, or charity of choice, through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W, Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
