Pamela Gay (Tolley) Mace

February 13, 1960 — February 14, 2023

Walla Walla

Pamela Mace, 63, went peacefully in her sleep at home and is now in Heaven on February 14, 2023. She was born in a blizzard, at home, on February 13, 1960, in Concord, VA, to William H. Tolley and Wilma Brummett Tolley, the last of seven brothers and sisters.

Pam moved in 1968 with her family, where they settled in Dixie, WA, and she attended school in Dixie and Walla Walla, WA. She met Stanley Mace when they were teenagers; they enjoyed hanging out together with friends and listening to music. They later married on March 17, 1984.

Pam enjoyed being a homemaker most of her life, taking care of her family in many ways. She loved family gatherings and holidays. She loved to cook, always trying new recipes on her family and friends, especially during holidays, making huge meals and decorating, going over the top inside and out for people to enjoy.

Gardening was a passion; each year, she would try different vegetables and fruits to raise for her family. Music was a special love of hers, primarily classic rock and religious contemporary, but would listen to many different genres. She was able to “name that tune” after just a few notes and tell you who was singing or playing it.

Pam was a Girl Scout Leader when her daughter was young and a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America.

Pam also wrote beautiful poetry and letters, and for many years she would write a beautiful Christmas poem she would give to family members. She became a loving pet person in later years and had three dogs that she loved, that miss her very much.

Pam is survived by her husband, Stanley Mace; Son, Joey Mace; Daughter, Ashley Mace, both of Walla Walla; Brother, Joseph Tolley (Debbie) of Spokane; Sisters, Linda Roberts (Donald) of Kennewick, Nancy Borgers (Jim) of Walla Walla, Sharon Brooks (Doug) of Idaho Falls, ID. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, two Aunts, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, William, and Wilma Tolley; Brothers, Michael and Richard Tolley; Nephews, Richard Tolley Jr. and Christopher Tolley.
