Naomi Gean Fulgham

Naomi Gean Fulgham, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2026, at her home in Walla Walla, Washington. She was born on July 24, 1937, in Altamont, Missouri, to Albert and Maxine Ingram Herman. After graduating from Touchet High School, she married Robert Fulgham in 1955, and together they shared 70 years of love and partnership.

Naomi was a member of the Touchet Community Congregational Church, where she was the choir director for many years. She loved music and enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines, an organization of women singers. She also loved gardening and was known for her beautiful yard, which was a park-like garden oasis. She was an avid golfer who also found joy in life’s simple blessings, whether it was gathering around the table with family or sharing stories from years gone by. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and leaves behind a legacy of love through her family.

Naomi is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughters, Nixie Fulgham and Darla Nolan; her son, Robert Fulgham, Jr.; her eight grandchildren: Jarod Heady, Jason Nolan, Heidi Nolan,

Sheri Peterman, Mindy Porter, Robert Fulgham, Helen Freer, and Josh Freer; and her 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Loleeta and Jerry Herman, her granddaughter, Katie Nolan, and her great-grandson, Everett Heady.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Touchet Community Church, 176 Balm Street, with light refreshments following.
