Michael James Mcdonnell Jr.

Michael James McDonnell Jr. (Mike) passed away peacefully on July 23, 2018, at the age of 88, surrounded by family.

Mike, born on November 8, 1929, was a native of Pasco.  He graduated from Gonzaga University and served in the U.S. Air Force.  On September 27, 1952, he married the love of his life, Donna Rose Gallo.  Mike lived and worked in Walla Walla most of his adult life, running a local business, and actively supporting the community and his church.  He enjoyed golf and tennis, and he had a passion for wine which he enjoyed making for many years and drinking for many more.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Donna Rose; his three children, Michael (Beverly), Brian (Barbara), and Suzanne (Grant) Gibson; and six grandchildren, Morgan, Hannah, Emily, Nicholas, Michael, and Mercedes; and his younger brother, Thomas.

The Rosary will be Friday, September 7, 2018, at 6 p.m., at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 10 a.m., at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, with interment at Mountain View Cemetery to follow immediately.
