Michael Arthur Maiuri

Michael Arthur Maiuri passed away July 17, 2023, at the age of 76.

He was born to Antonio Maiuri and Mary (Torretta) Maiuri on May 13, 1947.

He was born, raised, and lived on the Maiuri Family Farm his entire life. His health forced him to move to assisted living in College Place for the last few years.

While growing up, Mike worked on the Torretta, Fanciullo, and Maiuri Family Farms. During high school, Mike participated in FFA, showing cattle and different activities. After high school he continued to work in agriculture for the Gardener’s Association, Mojonnier & Sons, and other farm packing facilities in the valley. Mike also continued farming the family ground, raising alfalfa and cattle over the years.

Mike was an avid car enthusiast. His 1970 Roadrunner was his pride of ownership. He was also part of a car club in Walla Walla. He had an extensive collection of diecast cars he had collected over the years.

Mike is survived by his brother, Robert Maiuri; nephews, Jay Maiuri and Marc Maiuri (Angie); great-nieces and great-nephew: Breanna, Gina, Natalia, Lindsey, and Dante. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Mary Maiuri; brother, Charles Maiuri; and niece-in-law, Megan.

Mike left this earth like he lived it… on his terms. He had survived cancer and other ailments over the years.

Viewing and Visitation will be Sunday, July 30, 2023, at 3:00 pm, followed by a rosary, at 5:00 pm, at the Chapel of the Herring Funeral Home, with Nick Moramarco officiating. A graveside service will be Monday, July 31, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at Mountain View Cemetery in the Catholic Section, with Deacon Jim Barrow, officiating.
