Matthew Peter Stiles

Matt Stiles, 39, of Longview, WA, passed away on April 29, 2023. He was born on January 10, 1984, in Hermiston, OR to Margaret “Peggy” Stiles and the late Robert “Smokey” Stiles.

Matt was a very adventurous and fun-loving person who liked to be the life of the party. He was quite funny and liked to surround himself with his friends. He enjoyed golfing, bike riding, hiking, snowboarding, and fishing.

Matt was in a serious relationship with Christina Gilmour at the time of his death.

Matt worked as a golf course groundskeeper and was passionate about golfing. He attended Hockinson Middle School and graduated from Prairie High School.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy; brother, Kyle; sister, Leslie; multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Smokey” Stiles.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of the Herring Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla, with Pastor Steve Morris officiating. A reception will follow at the Marshall Hospitality House next door.
