Maryanne Yolande Freeman

Maryanne Y. Freeman, age 98, passed away at Wheatland Village on November 21, 2022. She was born April 2, 1924, in Walla Walla to Herman and Yolanda Showerman Timm. She grew up in a loving home with her sister, Betty June Watson, and brother, Rodney Timm. Maryanne lived her entire life in Walla Walla, graduating Wa-Hi, class of 1942. She attended Whitman College and graduated from the University of Washington with a teaching degree. Maryanne taught at various schools in Walla Walla and College Place, including St Paul’s School for Girls. In 1948, she married Bob Freeman, and they were married 75 years. Bob and Maryanne had two children, Kari Schoessler, living in Bend, Oregon, and Kathy Siebe, of Enterprise, Oregon. They had five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Maryanne was involved in the Walla Walla Country Club and PEO. She loved to play golf, ski, swim, and garden. She was known for her beautiful, flowered yard adjoining the Country Club.

The family will gather later for a Remembrance of Life service.
