Mary Katherine (Nealon) Kincheloe was born on September 4, 1930, to Irish immigrants, Thomas William Nealon and Atracta Essa (Smyth) Nealon in San Francisco, CA. Mary was the eldest of twelve children.
She married Conley Eugene (Gene) Kincheloe on November 5, 1950, in San Francisco, CA. They raised nine children. In the 1960’s and 1970’s, May was very active with Concord American Little League, The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of America, and the Contra Costa County Democratic Party in Concord, CA. In 1980, Mary and Gene moved to Walla Walla, Washington where they were both active members of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Mary was very active in the Catholic Daughters, the Postal Carriers Union Auxlliary and many ladies card groups.
Mary is survived by sons Thomas Kincheloe (Richard Masters) of Portland, OR; Michael (Louise) Kincheloe of Ft. Worth, TX; Patrick Kincheloe of Walla Walla, WA; Daniel Kincheloe of Pleasant Hill, CA; Kevin Kincheloe of Puyallup, WA; daughters Mary Walker of Prescott, WA and Theresa Kincheloe of College Place, WA; brothers Edward Nealon; Robert Nealon; sisters Ann (William) Thrush; Patricia (Terrance) Murphy and Margaret (Norman) Babin; brothers-in-law John Moore and Leonard Vignolo; sister-in-law Sharon Nealon. In addition to her siblings and children, Mary is survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, 38 nieces and nephews and more than 100 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by parents Thomas William and Atracta Essa (Smyth) Nealon; husband Conley Eugene (Gene) Kincheloe; In laws Clarence and Mildred (Hard) Kincheloe; sister-in-law Marilyn Kincheloe Klein and Saundra Nealon; brothers-in-law Alan Klein, Robert Kincheloe and Gerald Kincheloe; sisters Theresa Moore, Ellen (Leland) Turner, Agnes Vignolo; brothers Thomas Nealon, John Nealon and Daniel Nealon; sons Conley (Gene) Kincheloe and Dennis Kincheloe; daughter-in-law Alana Kincheloe; and granddaughter Michelle Walker.
A Rosary will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 5:00 PM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home in Walla Walla. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 17 th , 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Walla Walla.
