Mary Catherine Fout

Our family's world has grown a little darker as its brightest flame was extinguished.

Mary Catherine Fout passed away in her home on the morning of July 23, 2019.  She was born in Ohio on August 27, 1939.

Mary had a heart that knew no bounds.  She often took in strays, whether they were human or four-legged, who needed a family.  She provided love and comfort to many of her children’s' and grandchildren’s' friends who needed a safe place to grow and thrive.  To know her was to be accepted as part of the family, to be loved unconditionally, and to feel safe and wanted.

Mary was an animal lover and took pride in the family's nonprofit cat sanctuary, Silver Cloud Sanctuary.  Mary, in her stronger days, could often be found helping to tame wild kittens or comforting frightened or sickly cats.  Her own senior cat, Loki, has lived a life of pampering.  Mary's family will continue seeing to Loki's needs until he joins his human on the other side.

Mary leaves behind many who loved her dearly and were loved equally by her: husband Martin Fout, Sr.; children Brenda (Daniel) Marzano, Martin (Donna) Fout, Ralph Fout, Cathy Fout; grandson/adopted son Robert; grandchildren Christy, Tiffany, Joshua, Martin J, Jacob; great-grandchildren Andy and Naomi; many nieces and nephews; and many who were chosen to be her children and grandchildren.

Mary's wishes were for cremation with no services which the family has arranged through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.

Mary leaves a void in our lives. She will forever be missed and her memory will forever be cherished.
