Mary Belle Davis, 92, of Walla Walla, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Washington Odd Fellows Home in Walla Walla.
Mary was born in Brookings, S.D., on February 22, 1924. She graduated from Walla Walla High School. Mary was married to Ross Davis on November 30, 1951, they were married 44 years.
Mary worked at the Bon Marche where she made friends with a wonderful group of women, enjoying their company traveling to Hawaii and other destinations throughout the years. Mary loved the ocean and beaches, but meeting with her friends weekly for their coffee dates was the highlight of her week. Mary also loved entertaining with her family. Just being around Mary was a gift, everyone loved her and she always had a smile on her face and welcomed everyone she met. She was loved and cherished by her family and friends and will be missed every day.
Mary is survived by her three daughters, Kathy Davis, Sheree LaRue, and Sandi Hayes; her sister, Sarah Nelson; five grandchildren, along with four greatgrandchildren; and other beloved family members.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ross; her parents; brothers, Ernie, Frank, Bill and John Baumgardner; and sisters, Betty Jones and Polly Weed.
The celebration of her life will be announced at a
later date. The family of Mary Davis wishes to thank
Odd Fellows staff for taking such good care of her
while she was in their care.
