Marsha Marie Gardner

Marsha M. Gardner passed away on April 20, 2023, at home at age 76. Born in California to Vernon and Patricia Peterson, Marsha grew up in Touchet and graduated from Touchet High School. On September 11, 1964, she married Frank Gardner of Lowden.

Marsha and Frank lived many years in Vancouver, WA, where they raised their daughters. She was active in the Vancouver Christian Women’s Club and the Evergreen Little League. In 2003, Marsha and Frank returned to Lowden.

Marsha enjoyed buying serious books and reading spy novels. In addition, she loved to bake and share desserts with friends.

Marsha is survived by her daughter, Ann-Marie Gardner of New York City; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanine and Bret Edensword of Tacoma; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Pat Hewitt of Idaho; sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Dale Perkins of Idaho; brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Sue Peterson of Touchet; and sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Mike Pitzer of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frank Gardner; and her mother and father, Pat and Pete Peterson.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Chapel of the Herring Funeral Home in Walla Walla.
