Mark Douglas Hisey passed away July 16, 2018, in Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in Yakima, Washington.
Mark was born July 21, 1969, to Sheryll and Craig Hisey in Walla Walla. He had a younger brother, Michael, and grew up on a farm; surrounded by animals such as horses, sheep, ducks, and chickens.
Mark graduated from Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, WA. He then attended Walla Walla University, where he earned his MSW degree. As a young adult, he became interested in martial arts and later went on to teach the art of Wing Chun. After college, he was employed as an officer for the Walla Walla City Police. This job brought him the most satisfaction and pride, but sudden illness forced him to take an early retirement in 2017.
He had three beautiful daughters who survive him: Lucy, age 14; Abigail, age 6, and Kenna, age 3. Mark was also survived by his parents; and brother; as well as his nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and you, his friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Walla Walla Elks Club with Chaplin Cole Massey, officiating.
