Margaret E. Wolfson Moro

Margaret E. Wolfson Moro born to William and Nellie Cosgrove in Lawrence, KS passed away at General Hospital Sunday at the age of 93.

She lived in Walla Walla for most of her lifetime and was preceded in death by husbands William Wolfson and Bernard Moro, 4 of 7 siblings, son Roger Wolfson, and final love Harold Esser. She is survived by brothers Robert and Thomas Cosgrove of Walla Walla, son Michael Wolfson of Walla Walla, daughter Terri Wolfson-Clements of Portland, and daughter-in-law, Judy Wolfson of Richland. They along with her 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren are sad to see her leave their lives but blessed to spend so many enjoyable years and memories with her.

Margaret worked for the Ration Board during WWII and several years for the US Army Corps of Engineers. She assisted her first husband in the operation of local restaurants, carnival management, and Wolfson Concessions Company which was continued with her son, Mike. Margaret kindly devoted most of her time to family, friends, and her beautiful home. She was always elegant, gracious, and ready to celebrate life. She lived independently until the final few months of her life, but received care and assistance from her son and Marie Davis during the last several years of her life. Margaret was active in the Catholic church and a faithful woman of God. She loved the community of Walla Walla and had a passion for fashion and design. Her smile and laughter will truly be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

The family of Margaret Wolfson Moro would like to express their gratitude to all of the staff at General Hospital for the outstanding care and compassion provided in the final days of her life. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery Saturday, June 29th at 11:30 am, followed by a Celebration of Life in the family home. All are welcome.
