Margaret Madeline Gilmore, 92, of Walla Walla, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 12th, at Dayton General Hospital in Dayton, Washington.
Margaret (Marge) was born on April 24, 1930, to Joseph and Agnes Zamenski of Baltimore, Maryland.
In 1952, Margaret graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a registered nurse.
At the age of twenty- three she married Duane (Dewey) Gilmore of Walla Walla, and they had four children; Gary, Feather, Gwyn, and Gregg.
Margaret was a loving wife, a strong, caring mother, and a kind-hearted, loyal friend. She was beautiful, sharp, witty, and a true joy to be around. She was a very special woman and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by two daughters, two sons, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Duane.
A private graveside service will be held at the family’s request.
