Marcella Welch

July 2, 1930 — April 19, 2015

Marcella D. Russell Welch passed peacefully on April 19, 2015, at Odd Fellows Home in Walla Walla with family at her side. Marcella was born in Montana on July 2, 1930, to Floyd and Selma Russell. She married Willard “Wayne” Welch on March 21, 1948. They lived many years in Prescott before moving to College Place. There they spent many wonderful years, enjoying the fellowship of their Adventist family.

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; several sisters and brothers. She is survived by sister, Deloris (Gene) Robanski; brother, Milton (Collen) Russell; daughters, Kathy (Bill) Hill, Connie Gillespie; grandsons, Wayne (Missy) Welch, Ryan (Jennifer) Gillespie, Cameron (Sarah) Gillespie. Haven James Gillespie, born Dec. 3, 2014, was Marcella’s first great-grandchild along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marcella and Wayne recognized the many kind gestures by Allan Gillespie. Marcella had many wonderful friends; you all know who you are, and she loved you all dearly.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 24, 2015, at Mount Hope Cemetery in College Place at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Odd Fellows Home and or Hospice.
